RemarksThis thing was right on top of us! We were driving down the freeway, and it paralleled us while dropping at a very shallow angle, very low to the ground and very close. I'm guessing that it disintegrated in that split-second when we were under the underpass, to my everlasting grief. We were so close that we could see the lumps and bumps on the surface, and the cone of glow that was trailing behind it!

RemarksIt was a long glowing streak with lots of tiny brighter flecks inside of it. We lost sight of the fireball for a split-second going under the underpass, and in that time it went from what looked like something the size of a small boulder maybe 20 feet above the ground, and yes I do mean 20 feet, to a streak that was farther down the road... No sign of that big piece anymore. It kind of hung there for maybe three seconds, and then it quickly faded away.
